Cornerstone Mixtape #203 – Vice “GENREBNDR”

Hello world, and welcome back to another month of the mixes from top DJs. The sounds of this fresh year have been nothing short of great, and with the weather beginning to turn the bouncing feet are sure to be making their way outside. Here in the 1200squad offices, we’re in full go mode with SXSW just around the corner. No other music festival brings every genre together the way that SXSW does. And with that spirit in mind, it only made sense to bring the mix to a DJ who blends genres like no other DJ in the game. The one and only Vice. This is Cornerstone Mixtape 203 GENREBNDR.

Far from your average DJ, Vice has been named one of “America’s Best DJs” performing for sold out crowds all over the world. From the center of his crowd to the heart of his music Vice’s set brings the type energy that you just can’t find anywhere.

Inspired by his many travels, Vice’s music has the distinct ability to take listeners around the world to places such as Ibiza, Tokyo, London, and Hong Kong, like he did with his hit song “World Is Our Playground.” Whether it’s a fast-paced EDM song or a relaxing poolside beat, there’s a hint of adventure in every song that takes listeners to the various places that Vice has been to.

His impressive list of residences includes Marquee (Las Vegas and New York), LIV Miami, and Create in Los Angeles, in addition to performances at ULTRA Miami, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Electric Daisy Carnival.

Vice keeps his sound fresh and innovative by collaborating with a wide variety of artists, ranging from A-list to indie, and in Cornerstone Mixtape #203 we see just how fresh a mix can get. In this mix we get new cuts and some oldies. Everything from new Calvin Harris to classic Biggie Smalls show up in GENREBNDR.

Hopefully this mix holds you down on your trip down to Austin, and keeps your feet tapping throughout the month of March. Until next month and the next mix, remember that The DJ Is The Cornerstone Of Hip-Hop. ®
